IT IS NOT WRONG TO KNEEL DOWN TO GREET THE ONE YOU CALL YOUR FATHER, MOTHER, PROPHET OR PASTOR. JUST ENSURE YOU DO IT FROM YOUR HEART: IT IS A MARK OF HONOUR AND RESPECT IN MOST TRADITIONS CULTURES AND COMMISSIONS.
IF THAT IS YOUR STLYE OF GREETING YOUR FATHER AND MOTHER AS OCCASION PERMITS, PLEASE FEEL FREE TO DO IT.
THE ONLY THING WRONG WITH KNEELING DOWN IS FOR YOUR KNEE TO BE DOWN BUT YOUR HEART IS UP: SOME KNEEL DOWN BUT IN THEIR HEART THEY ARE STANDING UP:
BUT IF YOU ARE LIKE SOME OF US, WHOSE HEART IS WITH YOUR KNEE, PLEASE GIVE IT TO WHOEVER YOU FEEL DESERVES IT. FOR YOU TO BE INVITED TO THE ALTAR FOR PRAYERS BY YOUR FATHER OR PASTOR, AND YOU STAND TO RECEIVE THE PRAYERS MEANS YOU ARE ARROGANT AND PROUD. I SAID ON THE ALTAR NOT IN THE CONGREGATION. THIS ARROGANT AND PROUD GENERATION IS LOOKING FOR WHO TO RECRUIT INTO THEIR CAMP.
SEE MY OWN EXPERIENCE:
Many years ago I was Posted to serve in a Branch of Winners' Chapel as Pastor 3. Meaning I have Pastor 1 and Pastor 2 as my Seniors in that Branch. The Pastor 1 happens to be the State Pastor also. Myself and the Pastor 2 are both assisting him.
By Ordination he is my Senior in ministry. By age he can give birth to me. Because when he celebrated his 50th Birthday in that branch, I was just 30 then. So he was about 20 years my senior in age as at that time.
Naturally I took him as My Biological father also. When he comes to the office in the morning, I will kneel down to greet him the first time I set my eyes on him. At other times, I will just Prostrate to greet him. Nothing attached, just Honouring him as a father figure.
On one Occasion, the Pastor 2 saw me greeting him on My knees. When we came out from the office, He said to me, you that is from Edo state, why are you allowing this Yoruba people to influence you. Are you a slave, Never you kneel down for anyone. He said to me, The power that posted him here, is the same power that posted you here.
To make a long story short, I went to the office of the Senior Pastor one day and I saw my chief adviser kneeling down to greet the same man he said doesn't deserve my kneeling down. When he stood up, he couldn't look at my face. He later came to my office to say, I know you are suprised to see me kneel down, it's like something came on me, and I just saw myself kneeling down. I smiled and said to him that thing that came on you, is permanently on me.
Today the both of us are no longer in the Ministry, the difference is clear. YOU CANT BE HUMBLE AND STUMBLE. If I was a brainless Pastor, I would have fallen for his tricks. He wants to turn me against the same man himself cannot do without.
This is how most ASSISTANT PASTORS SUFFER WITHOUT KNOWING WHERE THEIR PROBLEM IS COMING FROM. Never allow PROUD and ARROGANT People influence you to become PROUD and ARROGANT.
Those who KNEEL down are not necessarily humble and those who don't kneel down are not also proud.
But kneeling down from time immemorial is a MARK of HONOUR RESPECT and VALUE for either the person or the institution he or she REPRESENTS.
AND HE THAT IS HUMBLE DOESN'T HAVE ANY PROBLEM KNEELING DOWN TO GREET EITHER A FATHER IN THE LORD OR A FATHER IN THE LAND.
Don't go and start doing it, if it is not your Style and don't mock those who do it if is their style.

The conclusion of the Matter is the wisdom of Apostle Paul.
Romans 14:3 Let not him that eateth despise him that eateth not; and let not him which eateth not judge him that eateth: for God hath received him.
Those who do it and those who don't do it are the same in the sight of God.
