Imo first Lady extols women during the grand finale of August meeting 2021
The grand finale of the annual women August meeting held at the freedom square in Owerri had in attendance women fro the different local government area in the State. In her address to the women and people of Imo State, Mrs. Uzodinma eulogised Imo Women for their relentless and steadfastness in championing the course for a better Imo State where peace and unity reigns. Recounting the fruits from last year's Grand Finale of the August Meeting, the Imo First Lady expressed happiness over the sustenance of economic empowerment that was extended to indigent women.
The first Lady used the opportunity to reel out the empowerment scheme from the Ministry of Women Affairs and Vulnerable Groups through Office of the First Lady, Imo State as sponsored by private and corporate donors. Over 3000 indigent women across the state would be empowered with:
Package for 305 women from each ward.
Sewing Machines.
Motor Griding Machines.
Standing Hair Dryers.
Outdoor barbecue and grill equipment.
The Office of the First Lady, Imo State, would continue to work for an improved welfare on the path of Imo Women and girl child.
In their response the women thanked the wife of the State governor and use the opportunity to appreciate the Governor His Excellency, Senator Hope Uzodimma, who graced the occasion for the 3R Government's commitment in supporting and promoting gender-balanced administration.
