Sports personalities set to be honoured at the Mbaise Sports Merit Award
The history of sports in Nigeria cannot be complete without mentioning Mbaise in Imo state were legends of sports have been discovered to greatness .
Inspired by this discovery, Silvernews Communication has deem it fit to celebrate this heroes of Mbaise nation, both past and present who has made meaningful contributions in propagating Mbaise Nation to the world through sports and also honour our brothers and sisters who have contributed in the fight against drug abuse and other vices in our society.
The expected award ceremony has been scheduled to hold December 23rd 2021, at the prestigious Paragon Hotel Eke Nguru, with a total of twenty awards and certificates to be given out.
The Chief Host of the event, The (CEO) of Silvernews Communication, Mr Kennedy Onwunali said, “It is long overdue to recognize Mbaise sports personalities as well as some friends of Mbaise in Sports development.”
Onwunali also added that the event will be chaired by Prince Emeka Ogodudu and it will be a yearly event going forward, “This is going to be a yearly event to celebrate the best of sports personalities in the area.
The Organizing committee led by Chief Ugochukwu-Udoku said Names like Acp Chioma, Ajunwa Opara, Late Eze (Barr) B.S.C Nzenwa, Coach Uche ucheria, Coach Alfousu Dike, Coach Issach Nnado, Coach Ndubuise Nduka, Chief Ben Iseguzo, Dr Juld Amadi, Prof Eddie Oparaoji, Late Rev Fr Dr Charles Anyanwu, Rev Fr Dr,Magnus Ebere. Dr Kachi Nwoga, Dorothy Nwawudu, Mr Chigozie Nwagu Prince, Emeka Ogodudu, Mrs Sabina Chikere, Mr Ebi Egbi, Mr Charles Chidozie and Hon Uche Agumu Will be honoured at the ceremony which will feature lecture on 'Drugs and other vices by the NDLEA', Pocacov and other resource persons
