A renowned Imo born Sports administration and football enthusiast, Mr Kennedy Onwunali has been appointed as the Imo State Coordinator of Community Football Foundation (CFF) by the Board of Trustees of CFF.
His appointment comes as a result of his unconfined contributions to the overall development of Football in Nigeria.
He is expected to oversee, coordinate and supervise all activities of CFF in Imo State, inclusive of the ongoing Facilitation and establishment of Community Ownership Football Clubs in the Local Government Councils in Imo State by appointing CFF Coordinators in all the local Government Councils.
Community Football Foundation, (CFF) is an NGO established to advocate and create a minimum of 774 Community base Ownership Football Clubs Nation Wide.
Community Ownership and Community involvement in decision making at Sports Clubs and long term financial sustainability and good governance, makes community ownership of football clubs a wise choice , because it provides answers to the fundamental questions as, who owns the club, where does the money comes from and where does the money go.
