Mbaise Nation Football League: Platinum FC, Nze Chikere FC ends in stalemate
The star game of matchday 2 of the 2023/2024 Mbaise Nation Football league, MNFL, between Platinum Football Club of Uvoro Mbaise and Nze Chikere FC ended in a stalemate.
The highly explosive encounter, which held at Uvoro Secondary School Ground, began with the host coming close to scoring a couple of times in the first half but could not find the back of the net because of the fine form of Kingsley.
In goal for the visitors who came prepared for the game from Amuzi Ahiazu Mbaise.
It will be recalled that they were 1-0 victor's in their friendly game three weeks ago. Having this at the back of their minds, they defended every inch of their half.
The game opened up in the second half with Nze Chikere looking up to score a goal but were denied the opportunity to score by poor marksmanship.
Prior to kick-off, the organizing committee presented a sports wear to the youngest player in the league, Master Uzochi a 15-year-old from Platinum FC to encourage him.
