Imo Majority Leader sponsors 2021 Oforola/Olaukwu shared prosperity cup
In line with the Christmas celebration, the Imo state majority leader, Hon Kanayo Onyemaechi, who is also the member representing Owerri West in the House of Assembly have taken it upon himself to sponsor this year's football tournament in his hometown Oforola/Olaukwu.
Hon. Kanayo Onyemaechi maintained that the tournament will entertain and also keep the youths off social vices.
The majority leader in his kick off speech stated that football promotes peace, unity and brotherly love and urge the youths not to deviate from that core mandate
Egbe also sponsored the 2020 shared prosperity cup for the entire ten wards in Owerri-West LGA where he shared substantial sum for the winner and runner-up as well as best player of the year. Hon Kanayo Onyemaechi promised to do the same in the on -going 2021 football tournament.
The people of oforola/Olaukwu are really impressed for the effort of their own son towards the development of the oforola/Olaukwu and also appreciate the Imo majority leader for hosting this year's tournament of shared prosperity cup.
