The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, House of Assembly candidate for Aboh Mbaise Constituency, Hon. Princewill Amuchie has said that he will invest more in sports development in the area.
Congratulating football teams from the Local Government who excelled in various competitions across the country in the last one month, the PDP candidate told Wakawaka Sports Extra that he was not suprised that football has began to take shape in the area.
He recalled how he assisted teams to become successful at the past and promises to keep supporting them.
The Oke Uvoro Mbaise born business executive said he will invest more time in sports development if elected into office , he will establish a department for sports development initiative that will carter for the needs of various sports men in the area
Wakawaka Sports Extra can report that four teams owned by people of the Local Government won four different competitions across the country in the last one month.
CENN Foundation FC of Nguru started the good news with their victory at the Art of Sports Football game, followed by Ibeku Okuator team, who won the Ikukuoma Mbaise Unity Cup and G Innovation FC owned by Chigozie Nwagwu from Eke Nguru Aboh Mbaise that won the MOFC Trophy in Lagos.
Recently, Platinum FC of Oke Uvoro Mbaise won the Imo State Football League to emerge the best club in Imo State league.
Hon. Amuchie said more efforts will be put in place to ensure Aboh Mbaise becomes a reference point of success in sports development in the country.
