Five-time Nigerian Professional Football League (NPFL) Champions, Heartland Football Club of Owerri tasted victory again in the ongoing new NPFL season as they beat Wikki Tourists of Bauchi by a lone goal in their match day five encounter at the Dan Anyiam Stadium Owerri.
The captain of the Naze Millionaires, Chukwudi Nwaodu scored the only goal of the exciting encounter after converting a well deserved penalty kick in the thirty seventh minute of the game which they dominated from the start.
The Imo state Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development, Hon. Dan Chike Ogu who was visibly happy with the vibrant and resilient display of the team congratulated them for the well deserved victory.
He expressed his happiness at the result.
