Ejiogu felicitates Tobi Amusan on women's 100m hurdles triumph
The member representing Owerri North in the Imo State House of Assembly, Hon. Philip Ejiogu has felicitated with Tobi Amusan on her recent success at the World Athletics Championship.
Amusan, who set a new world record in the semi-finals went all out to win gold at the final of the athletic event of the World Championship in USA thus, becoming the first Nigerian to win a World Championship.
Speaking with Wakawaka Sports Extra, Ejiogu said he joined millions of Nigerians in celebrating the outstanding feat by the track queen and two-time African Games champion, who in one night stunned the athletics world with her superlative performance.
The young politician thanked the track superstar for making Nigerian proud at the international arena and making people belief in the country again.
Hon. Ejiogu, who is contenting to return back to the Imo State House of Assembly for the second time under the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, said that the career and achievements of the golden girl will continue to inspire the upcoming generations of Nigerian athletes to achieve greatness in their careers and promised to give sports development a major project of his second term in office.
