Controversy trails Nwakali contract renewal at Spanish Club
Controversy has continued to trail the renewal of Nigerian International Midfielder, Kelechi Nwakali at Spanish second Division club side, Huesca. Nwakali's current four years contract runs out at the end of the season.
It is reported that the Spanish Second division side, Huesca have tried all they could to make the Nigeria International Midfielder, to renew his four years contract with the club which runs out at the end of the season.
According to an insider who is on the know of all that is happening between the club and the Nigerian player, who gave a good account of himself at the just concluded AFCON 2021 tournament in Cameron. "The player has given his best to the club and is ready to serve out the rest of his contract before looking at offers at his disposal, which means so much to his Carrier but the club is only interested in the renewal of his contract for the next four years.
"Nwakali who has blatantly refused to renew his contract got into the bad books of club officials which has in turn resulted in an ugly development.
"The club in a desperate move decided to leak some of the information at the club to the media to put him under pressure to change his mind but the highly gifted Nigerian International has stood his ground of seeing through his contract before he will decide his next destination". The source said
