The House of Representatives Aspirant for Aboh Mbaise/Ngor Okpala Federal Constituency in the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Hon Engr. Chibuzor Agulanna, has congratulated Ibeku Okwuator Football Team on their victory at the just concluded Ikukuoma Mbaise Unity Cup after their 2-0 victory over Obizi Football Team.
The final which was decided at the Ezeagbogu Ezinihitte Stadium newly built by Dr Summers Nwokie, Akaji Ikuku 1 of Mbaise, had Hon. Agulanna who was represented at the epic final due to party engagement.
In his congratulatory message to the Ibeku team, he reiterated his promise to empower youths of the area in sports noting that its one of the major talent the people of the area is blessed with.
He said that he will assist to rediscover the football culture of the youths of the area who made up half of the players to the first women world cup in China and produced Nigeria first goal scorer at the U-20 women world cup in Canada.
Wakawaka Sports can report that the two Local Governments Areas have two standard sports centres – the National Sports Commission Mini Sports Centre Nkwogwu and Onwubiko International Sports Stadium, Ngor Okpala.
He noted that his collaboration with the House of Assembly Aspirant, in Aboh Mbaise and Ngor Okpala is how to pass bills on curbing youth restiveness through sponsorship of sports competitions in all areas of sports that will take the youths off the street.
Hon Agulanna, who has sponsored competitions at the grassroots level for years is the youngest aspirant in the race for the position, commended Ikukuoma foundation for coming up with the competition.
