Uche Nwosu mother's burial : Leave Chike Okafor alone - Iwuoha

In a post he made on his Facebook page, Iwuoha adviced critics of the Green Chambers member, Hon. Chike Okafor for failing to attend the funeral of the Mother of Former Chief of Staff to the Imo state Government and Governorship aspirant in the State, Uche Nwosu

I Have Read With Amusement Various Posts On Social Media Attacking And Criticising the Member Representing Okigwe South Federal Constituency at the National Assembly, Honourable Chike Okafor for not attending the burial ceremony of Mama Jemaimah Nwosu, which took place yesterday, 22/12/2021, At Eziama-Obire Community In Nkwerre LGA. To Say the least, the attack which is still ongoing is uncalled for. You don't measure friendship and brotherhood with the attendance of "burial ceremony" of  a political associate. I repeat,  it is not the yardstick to measure true friendship.

Hon. Chike Okafor may have called ugwumba Uche Nwosu on phone and discussed certain things (concerning mama's burial arrangements, programme and interment)  which you and I are not privy to. So why are you breaking your heads over what you don't know  about?

Chike Okafor and Uche Nwosu are good friends. Even if or assuming they have issues (which i doubt), unknown to us, they will settle without anybody's involvement.

That Chike Okafor was not seen yesterday during the burial is not an indication that he won't visit Uche Nwosu before the week runs out, on condolence.

Let me use myself to explain : my father, Chief Sir Sam Nwadike Iwuoha, stepped aside last year, in April 2020. Ugwumba Uche Nwosu did not attend the farewell ceremony which took place in August 2020. I didn't see or take it as anything. Ugwumba called on that day to wish me well and explain why he couldn't fly down from abuja for the event. Meanwhile, before the ceremony, he supported me. Infact, when my father was struggling to stay "afloat", Uche Nwosu visited, both at home and in the hospital. The fact that Uche Nwosu did not attend my father's farewell ceremony last year did not stop me from attending his own mother's farewell ceremony yesterday..... Mbaanu. I attended.

Everybody knows I am with the 3-R government of his excellency governor hope Uzodinma. I am a senior political appointee with the Imo State House of Assembly. But I took permission before heading to Eziama-Obire to attend the farewell ceremony of Mama Jemaimah Nwosu.

So biko nu umunnem na umunnam, let this attack and harassment of Chike Okafor, for not attending the burial ceremony of mama jemaimah nwosu, stop. It is too pedestrian and childish to be blackmailing Chike Okafor with non attendance of burial ceremony.

The Chike Okafor that I know have never been insensitive to people who are bereaved, talk less of his friend and brother (Uche Nwosu) whom he was best man to during his wedding on the 5th of January 2013.
