St. Peter Claver Seminary Class of '88 Honours Hon MacDonald
State Chairman of IMO APC , Hon. MacDonald Ebere, PhD has received an award of Excellence from St. Peter Claver Seminary Old boys Association (Class of '88) in recognition of his strong commitment towards the growth of the institution and his humanitarian services to the society in general.
MacDonald Ebere, a former student of the seminary was among the 3 Students of that very set (Class of '88), who from the sets assessment has distinguished themselves in all spheres of life and as well have become good ambassadors of their alma-mater.
Receiving the award at the Ngor Okpala Country home of the set's President Chief. Charles Oguibe , which served as venue for the set's annual congress and fundraising ceremony , Hon. MacDonald expressed Happiness for the opportunity granted to the set by God to once again meet after a long time , and also expressed gratitude for the honour done him, saying that he never knew his modest contributions to his alma-mater and the society was being observed keenly by those he considers brethren.
He said his appreciation goes not only to God but also to the state Governor , Sen. Hope Uzodimma , who bountifully rewards loyalty and hard work. He used the opportunity of the gathering to call on his ex-classmates to support the APC and the Shared Prosperity Government of Sen. Hope Uzodimma , as the Governor is out to change the negative narratives the state was known for in the past.
The State Chairman of the largest party in Africa described Okpala Seminary as popularly called , as an institution which serves and is still serving as one of the greatest citadels of learning where morals, discipline , Religious Piety and academic excellence were visibly the vision and philosophy of the school, adding that his alma-mater impacted immensely on his foundation and orientation in life.
Hon. MacDonald, who pledged to continue to contribute his quota in advancing the activities of his association, lauded the bond of unity existing among members over the years and enjoined them to sustain the tempo.
Earlier, the Class of '88 President Chief Charles Oguibe, reiterated the association’s avowed determination to give back to the school and the society in general particularly in the area of capital development, noting that the school had impacted positively on all of them who passed through the institution , as many left the seminary becoming full time priests , while the rest are happily married and at the same time doing exceptionally well in different fields of human endeavor.
While saying that the association would partner with relevant authorities to drive infrastructural development to the school, Sir. Oguibe paid glowing tributes to the management of their alma-mater for sustaining the tradition of the school.
He advised those who graduated from the school, especially the younger generation of students of the school to eschew violence at all times and continue to be good ambassador of the institution.
IMC Chairman of Ngor Okpala , Chief Obinna Nweke who joined the State Party Chairman to attend the Chairman's Old boys Congress , told the Old Students gathered that the state Chairman over time has shown capacity as a strong loyalist of Sen. Hope Uzodimma. He added that the school is lucky to have an old student who enjoys a wonderful working relationship with the State Governor , as it'll herald great changes for the school.
High point of the event was an award of excellence given to Hon. MacDonald Ebere by the set's President Sir. Charles Oguibe , in recognition the State Chairman commitment towards the infrastructural improvement of the School and his humanitarian feats in the society.
