Obowo Progressive Youth Forum seeks Government Collaboration as they visit S.A Youths
The President of Obowo Progressive Youth Forum Comr. Amuzie Alpha led a powerful delegation of Obowo Youths to the Special Adviser to the Governor on Youth Affairs Hon. Eric Uwakwe in his office recently.
In his speech the President of the group thank the Governor His Excellency Governor Hope Odidika Uzodinma for appointing a visionary and pragmatic youth in the person of Hon. Eric Uwakwe as the special adviser to the Governor on Youth Affairs.
He maintained that Hon Eric Uwakwe have shown capacity by bringing all the youth bodies in Imo State together which is first of it kind.
He said that the group resolved to pay an official visit to him to intimate him about their forthcoming program "Obowo Youth Economic Summit" (O-YES) and to seek for government collaboration.
The General Secretary of the group Comr.Osueke Chino heaped praise on his Excellency Governor Hope Uzodinma and his Sahred Prosperity Government for his record breaking youth empowerment of 15,000 Imo Youths which is the first of it kind in the history of Imo State.
Umuariam/Achara Ward Representative Comr.Korie Chimaroke applauded the Governor for appointing a pragmatic and workaholic youth as special adviser.
He said, in the recent past it used to be the exclusive reserve of men in their sixties and above due to party recommendations and that has created vacuum in the youth inclusiveness.
He emphasized that the purpose of this empowerment program being organized by OPYF is to lift many youths who are on the street that needs little fund to support their business and craft and if such help is rendered, it will make ways for them to arrive to their desirable goals in life.
He therefore pleaded with the current government through the special adviser to the Governor on youth affairs to workout a collaboration with the Share Prosperity government of His Excellency Governor Hope Uzodinma and Obowo Progressive Youth Forum.
In response, the special adviser to the governor on youth affairs Hon.Eric Uwakwe appreciated the participants and said that Obowo people are blessed and also an integral part of the Governor Hope administration having the likes of Rt.Hon Chief Barr.Kennedy Ibeh as the Speaker IMHA, The Honourable Commissioner for Housing Dr (Amb) Mrs Love Ineh, Hon. Fabian Ihekweme and other elected and political appointees in the current government of 3R mantra shows that Obowo people are truly blessed.
He promised to send our message to his Excellency for collaboration and support and said the group should inform him when the program is coming so that proper arrangement will be made available.
In his closing remark, the Media aide to the special adviser to the Governor on youth affairs Comr.Jeremiah Justice thanked Hon.Eric Uwakwe for various mentorship programs organized for Imo youths and charge him to continue to advocate for the emancipation of Imo youths and inclusiveness in the group in the Shared Prosperity administration of Governor Hope Uzodinma.
