Imo Daughters Association Holds First 2022 Executive's Meeting
The Imo Daughters Association, a pan Imo Forum comprising of female Professionals, seasoned Administrators, Technocrats, and Academics across all facets of life yesterday gathered for her first State Executive meeting In 2022.
The major objectives of this association includes training and equipping the indigent girl child, Providing the needed legal, financial and emotional assistance as required, Providing assistance for indigent women and also advocating for causes which affect Young women globally.
The meeting which held at the scenic pool side of the verdant Rockview Hotel Owerri, saw members coming together for the first time in the new year as they heartily exchanged pleasantries and acquainted themselves of objectives for the new calendar year from the Convener, Chief Barr. Mrs Chilaka Igidi.
In her Opening remarks Barr. Igidi, officially welcomed them to the meeting as she took the opportunity to thank them for the hardwork and resilience that was shown in the previous year, towards actualizing the Mandate of the Association. She went ahead to brief the members on the details of their previous outing in December, after which she then carefully and painstakingly rolled out plans for the coming months.
She additionally informed them of a forthcoming Mega Conference later in the Year whilst urging them to ensure that all hands were on deck to ensure the success of the event. This was after she had extensively explicated the agenda of the forum for the Year.
In her closing remarks, she reiterated her aforementioned points by laying strong emphasis on the need for members to be more resilient, dedicated and cooperative as they work towards advancing courses that affect young women within Imo and beyond.
