Barr. Ogechi Njoku-Ehirim felicitates with Nde Mbaise on its 2022 new yam festival
The Sole Administrator of Aboh-Mbaise local government Area, Barr. Ogechi Njoku-Ehirim has felicitated with the entire people of Mbaise on the occasion of this year’s Iri ji Mbaise 2022.
In a release made available to newsmen in Aboh-Mbaise by her, Barr. Njoku-Ehirim used the opportunity to congratulate the, EZUREZU Mbaise, OLU OHA Mbaise, Ndi-Ezeji, Ndi-Eze Mbaise, the presidents general, government appointees, the religious body, women Groups, youth groups and all Mbaise people for showcasing the unique cultural heritage of Mbaise beyond the shores of Nigeria.
Njoku-Ehirim further felicitated with her immediate local government and the entire Mbaise people for sustaining a cultural festival geared towards the development of Mbaise Nation and the state at large.
She further pleaded with them to use the period to reflect on the ideals of the unique zeal of an average Mbaise person which is to proffer solution, instill growth, peace and tranquillity within the three local governments that make up Mbaise.
According to her, “Iri ji Mbaise has given a reputable image to the Igbo land and Nigeria at large, adding that the level of unity, togetherness and coexistence the festival brings into the society cannot be overemphasized.”
Njoku-Ehirim, popularly known as “ Eziada Mbaise” further promised of her implicit and unquantified support towards making Mbaise nation and Imo State in general a better place to live wherever she finds herself . She also advised the Mbaise sons and daughters to support the government of Imo State lead by HE Sen Hope Odidika Uzodimma in his giant strides towards taking Imo to high heights. She enjoined Nde Mbaise to embrace politics of tolerance and healthy competition and ensuring that politics shouldn't destroy the peaceful heritage Mbaise Nation has enjoyed for long.
While expressing optimism that this year’s new yam festival will sustain cooperation, development, brotherliness and bring positive results, she also enjoined the people of Mbaise to always render constant prayers and forge a support system in their quest to alleviate the sufferings of our people.
She also used the opportunity to welcome the Executive governor of Imo State, His Excellency Distinguished senator Hope Uzodimma to this historic cultural festival. She expresses gladness at the warmth and enthusiasm the people of Mbaise has shown in readiness to receive the performing Governor. She also thanked the executive governor for embarking on the reconstruction of Owerri-Mbaise-umuahia road, rehabilitation of all the health centers in all the wards in Imo state, rehabilitation of rural roads in various communities and many other projects too numerous to mention.
