August Meeting: Dr Charles Uzopuo sues for togetherness among Oganihu Women Group
The women of Oganihu Women Group, Obeakpu in Umunoha autonomous community of Mbaitoli Local Government Area have been urged to embrace peace, oneness and togetherness among themselves in order to achieve set goals.
This charge was made by one of the illustrious sons of the area, Dr Uzopuo Charles Nnamdi during a well attended and glamorous celebration of this year's August meeting hosted by the Oganihu Women Group at Obeakpu Community School, Umunoha.
An elated Dr Charles who was the Chairman of the occasion advised the women to take up their shovels, machetes and embrace farming, noting that by so doing, hunger will be drastically eliminated.
He also advised the women to train their children in the fear of God, saying that family been the smallest unit in the society plays significant roles in the eradication of the in take of drugs and other illicit substances, doing this he said will reduce the current insecurity challenges.
Dr Charles further advised the women to be good Christians and commended them for coming together to organize this year's August meeting.
Speaking, the President of Oganihu Women Group Obeakpu, Mrs Happiness Anozie enumerated the essence of August meetings, she appreciated the women for their support and prayers in seeing that the event was a great success.
Highlights of the day were the conferment of Ezinne titles to deserving women and the traditional induction of newly married women into the group.
