Balancing the act of lawmaking with a strong reach out, to solving the immediate needs of one's constituents is the hallmark of a good legislator.This, has the honorable member Representing Isiala Mbano/Okigwe/Onuimo,(Okigwe North) at the National Assembly, Hon. Princess Miriam Onuoha (HPMO) done with tenacity and all sense of purpose.
Elected two years ago, She had made and continued to make positive impacts to revamp the educational system of her constituents starting from the cradle, to raise a future generation of enlightened minds from her Constituency.
This, she has done by building from the scratch Over ten Primary Schools , while renovating and also adequately equipping some others, namely;
✅Igwebuike Primary School standard Six classroom blocks in Ibeme Isiala Mbano Completed and equiped.
✅300 person Capacity ICT building in Boys Secondary School Okwe Onuimo Local Government furnished with brand new computers powered by solar and high speed internet.
✅Renovation of Umuna primary school in Onuimo local Government.
✅Completed and equipped five standard classroom block at Isiala Primary School Oboh Isiala Mbano l.G.A.
✅Urban Primary School OKIGWE L.G.A completed and equipped.
✅Umunachi Isiala Mbano Primary School, standard six classroom blocks completed and equipped.
✅Migrant school Amagu Ihube Okigwe local government Completed and equipped.
✅Township Primary School Ekwedim Amauzari Isiala Mbano Completed and equipped E.T.C.......
Her many other Impacts on Education include the distribution of state of the art; 20 Mobile package science laboratories equipments, over 400 chairs, over 400 tables, Mathematics Textbooks (Primary 1-3), English Textbooks, 5000 Exercise books, Headmaster's/Headmistress Special Chairs and tables to over Thirty(30) schools in Okigwe North.
She also has two Educational bills currently on accent stages. They are: For the construction of College of Horticulture Okigwe and School of Mid Wifery and Nursing Sciences in Isiala Mbano.
Her Adult Education is one that has made sure that our elderly populace get free and qualitative education.
Moreso, Her Vocational Skills school for skill acquisition in Okigwe North is waiting for appropriation for works to commence Immediately.
Conclusively, in her Education Support program she purchased jambs for over 500 young school leavers of her Constituency coached them on career path and helped them gain admission with tuitions scholarship. Also, she made bursary allowance available for over 60 Okigwe North Constituents in different Universities.
We cannot afford to miss this quality of Representation in Okigwe North, that's why we echo that the good works should continue with Hon Princess Miriam Onuoha.
