Uzodimma on a path of History
....AS HE SETS TO DELIVER OWERRI-ORLU AND OWERRI-OKIGWE ROADS
The Imo State Governor Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodinma, has proven that he has plenty vision for the development of Imo State. Every vision bearer must not just be visionary but will always walk the talk, and to walk the talk, he must be theoretically decisive in thinking and very practical in his apparition.
The Governor of Imo State has shown that he loves Imo State, and those who think otherwise should rather be very circumspect in their judgment against him. Let every critics be genuinely discerning, not politically motivated ones like we've seen from political supporters.
During the Imo State stakeholders meeting, the Governor mentioned two economic roads that got my attention and made me very delighted. The Owerri-Orlu Road and Owerri-Okigwe Road are the two roads I'm referring to. The Governor was very emphatic about delivery these roads this year which he awarded to a reputable construction company of several decades standing, talking about Craneburg construction company.
Very thoughtful of the Governor and at the right time too, because, the two roads when completed, will unlock the economic development of the state, create thousands of jobs both direct and indirect in many sectors of the economy, ranging from transport, agriculture, commerce, among others. The two roads, when completed, will increase the internally generated revenue (IGR) of the state and bring massive development in both rural and urban places in the State.
Satisfactory and good enough, the Governor in his 2022 budget, tagged "budget of wealth consolidation and recovery", gave capital expenditure a total of 74.64 percent, denoting that the objective of the budget was to satisfy the desires of the people by promoting sustainable economic development in the state. This will fastidiously too, see to the realization of the two roads, among others.
It's indeed an undeniable fact that when Owerri-Orlu and Owerri-Okigwe roads are dualized and completed this year, the Governor will not just be inscribing his precious name in the history book of Imo State, but will be making his re-election bid a walkover.
