THERE'S STILL HOPE FOR IMO YOUTHS- GOV UZODIMMA:

The Executive Governor Of Imo state has assured the Youths of the state that all hope is not lost in the pursuit of development, advancement and empowerment across all levels.

He made this known while addressing over 500 graduates of batch 19-24 of the recently concluded Solar panel and CCTV installation Training program being organised by the Convener of the Hope rising Initiative, Engr. Barr. Success Obioma Akagburonye in his hometown on Sunday at Mbaise.

The Governor who was represented by the Imo state Commissioner for Special Projects, Obidiegwu C. Stanley commended the remarkable project engendered by the organiser whilst stating that it was in line with the Government's 3R mantra of Recovery, Reconstruction and Rehabilitation.

He further stated that it was an exceptional concept put forward by the organisers towards the impartation of viable and profitable skills needed to achieve financial independence In an era characterised by immense competitiveness. he however charged the Youths to optimise the opportunity being given to them efficiently bearing in mind that it was also very important to shun frivolities and avoid being used by charlatans to propagate nefarious vices.

Hon Stanley on behalf of the Governor reiterated the resolute commitment of the Current administration towards youth development in the state, asserting that a roster of Initiatives targeted at empowering thousands of Imo Youths with Lucrative skills was in the offing, Some of which included the proposed Rehabilitation of the Standard Shoe industry in collaboration with Italian partners. this he said will have the capacity of employing over 5000 Imo Youths upon completion. additionally, he referenced other well meaning achievements of the Government like the recovery of the Kinglsey Ozumba Mbadiwe University, formerly known as the Eastern palm University. The Rehabilitation of the Acharubo Farm amongst other notable projects.

The Honorable Commissioner also commended the zeal, passion and creativity embodied by the Senator Uzodinma Led administration in the timely and painstaking accomplishments of astounding Projects across all regions of the state. according to him " Skill acquisition is the bedrock of Technological Advancement. the opportunity being handed over to you today is invaluable. it will not only empower you, but also put food on your table. I once more admonish you to make the best of what you have been given today".

Additionally, he pledged the willingness of the Government to continue implementing productive programs that would educate youths in line with market demands thus eradicating poverty and economic hardship.

He went ahead to commend the Governor who he described as ever focused, resilient resourceful, a strategic and critical thinker who has remained undaunted in the face of numerous challenges he has been met with in the last few months.

The highlights of the event was the presentation of Certificates to the participants as well as the issuance of awards to Outstanding students and an address by the Organiser, Engr. Barr Obioma Success Akagburonye.

Present at the event was the Honorable Member Representing Njaba State Constituency, Rt.Hon. Uju Onwudiwe and the Imo state Commissioner for Power, lady Ann Dozie amongst other prominent Government Dignitaries.
