The 3R Government holds in high esteem the Grassroots and we’re here for them - Uwakwe
Earlier today, 30th November 2021, Local Government Youth Leaders under the auspices of the All Progressives Congress, paid a familiarization visit to the Special Adviser to the Imo State Governor on Youth Affairs, Hon. Eric Uwakwe in a bid to have a closer reach to the government and her agenda for the grassroots.
In their speeches, they appreciated the working capacity of the Governor and the SA on creating systems of youth development and empowerment in Imo State that spreads beyond political interests and social interactions.
The SA, Hon Eric Uwakwe also admonished them to keep on being steadfast in public service, as well as build more commitment in preaching the goodwill and projects of the 3R Administration to the grassroots.
A strong emphasis was made however on the menace of drug abuse in these areas with the SA charged the leaders to lead a campaign against drug abuse in their various communities.
He also assured them of the continuous support of the Governor, Sen. Hope Uzodinma in empowering the rural communities and infrastructural development and charged them to keep being preachers of progress.
