Stakeholders Interface: Imo Speaker commends Uzodinma

The Speaker, Imo State House of Assembly (IMHA), Rt. Hon. Barr. Kennedy Chidozie Ibeh, has hailed His Excellency, Sen Hope Uzodinma, for initiating a regular interface with various shades of stakeholders in the state.
The Rt Hon Speaker who led other Honourable Members of IMHA to the event at Government House, Owerri, said that the stakeholders meeting initiated by the Governor is a clear demonstration that he is a pure democrat who deemed it proper to present his achievements to the people he is leading from time to time.
The IMHA Speaker described the stakeholders meeting as a step in the right direction. He observed that such commendable meeting affords Imo people the opportunity to express their views and exchange ideas one-on-one with the Governor.
The Speaker noted that Gov Hope Uzodinma has done exceedingly well in various sectors of the state economy despite daunting challenges contrived by some elements who do not want Imo State to move forward.
He called on all those who are orchestrating banditry, Kidnapping and other forms of crime to desist forthwith.
According to him, it is only a strong and focused character like Gov. Uzodinma that can achieve the whole lots that was recorded to his credit and benefit of Imo people despite the distraction.
He called for concerted support for Governor Hope Uzodinma to enable the state progress, just as he appealed to all aggrieved parties to shealth their swords and embrace peace.
Governor Hope in his address, reeled out his numerous achievements as contained in a document titled: "We have made appreciable progress in two years".
The Governor e-xrayed his achievements sector by sector.
He listed over 34 road networks that have been completed and commissioned, while 54 roads are under construction and 51 are undergoing maintenance.
The Governor said that the Housing, Agriculture, Education, Health, Commerce and industry among other sectors and subsectors are receiving maximum attention.
The Chairman of the occasion, Leo Stan Ekeh, promised to provide digital inclusion to IMHA and also a build technology hub for Imo State.
He assured of his commitment to help develop the state by training and retraining of Imo indigens to pave way for the employment of over 1500 Imolites.
The event attracted high networth individuals cutting across the academia, former Governors, both federal and state house members, religious leaders, leaders of socio-cultural organisations etc.
