SEYEA Imo State Chapter meets, Resolves to Support President from Igbo Extraction in 2023
The Imo State Chapter of a political group known as South East Youths for Equity Alliance SEYEA, has resolved to support a credible candidate from South East Zone in the forthcoming 2023 General Elections.
The State Chairman of the group, Comrade Austin Okoro, made this known after a crucial meeting of members of the state Chapter. He also said that the meeting also agreed to look out for worthy candidates to support during the Imo state Gubernatorial Election.
On the issue of the state chapter of SEYEA building capacity, Comrade Okoro further said that members agreed on extensive grassroots campaign that ensure that SEYEA reaches all the polling units in the State, and warned that any LGA officer found wanting in the discharge of his or her duty will be removed.
Comrade Okoro advised members to get their Permanent Voters Card now that INEC is continuing with registration, "We resolved to support a credible candidate from South East zone in the 2023 presidential election, We also agreed to extend it to a credible governorship candidate from Imo State during the Guber elections.
"We resolved to have SEYEA at the Ward level, therefore any LGA coordinator that is not active will be changed. Our meetings will now hold every two weeks, as there is need for us to commence serious work and make ourselves known to the public. Members were advised to go and get there PVCs and mobilise people to do so. Because of this, SEYEA IMO will be in Oziza FM, Reach FM and Zanders for a sensitization programme". He said.
