Responsible Politics And Politicking Demands That Supporters Of Politicians Aspiring For Elective Political Positions Should Promote The Aspiration Of Their Candidates, Rather Than Blackmailing, Attacking And Insulting Other Aspirants. It Is Unfortunate That At A Time The People Of Imo State, Specifically, Ohaji/Egbema State Constituency Are Beginning To Appreciate The Good Governance Being Entrenched In The State By The Administration Of Governor Hope Uzodinma, Whose Desire To Take The State To The Next Level Is Being Seen By All, Opposition Political Operatives Have Continued To Throw Spanners On The Wheel Of Democratic Governance By Attacking, Insulting And Blackmailing The Administration And Supporters Who Have Political Ambition.
Having Lost Out In The Power Play Ahead Of The Forthcoming Election For Various Elective Positions In 2023/24, These Opposition Leaders Hiding Behind Hungry Social Media Writers Have Gone Berserk With Smear Campaign Dressed With Falsehood, Mischief And Mischievous Allegations Against The Government And Its Supporters. They Blindly Believe That Such Spurious And Unfounded Allegations And Character Assassination Would Change The Minds Of Ndimo, Whose Support For Government Is Overwhelming.
Few Days Ago, These Ungrateful Opposition Elements, Having Grown Wings Of Dishonesty And Disrespect, Descended On The Immediate Past Imo State House Of Assembly Member For Ohaji/Egbema State Constituency (2015-2019), Honourable Emma Orie And Who Is Aspiring A Come Back To IMHA. Hiding Under One Adielea Prince On Social Media (Facebook And WhaSapp), The Opposition Described Honourable Emma Orie As A Failure In His First Outing As A Legislator, And As One Who Never Sponsored Or Supported A Bill Or Motion, Who Rather Spent Time Clubbing In Europe And Other Countries, And Never Cared To Attract Dividends Of Democracy To His Constituency.
For Me, I Was Dumbfounded, Disgusted And Flabbergasted By These Wicked And Heartless Allegations Against A Man I Know Too Well. I Am Now Constrained To Stand Up, As A Brother And Friend, For Him. This Is Because, When You See A Lie Being Used Against An Innocent Person, You Have A Duty To Jump Into The Boxing Ring To Fight And Expose It.
Therefore, In A Bid To Put The Records Straight, I Hereby Outline The Achievements Of Hon Emma Orie As A Legislator At The Imo State House Of Assembly, Between 2015 And 2019.
1. Four Ohaji/Egbema Youths were given Civil Service Jobs in different ministries.
2. Fifty Youths were trained in Skill Aquisition as well as Fifty Pupils were given scholarships from Primary 2 to 6.
3. Market Women were Empowered with Various Sums Of Money For Their Trade.
4. Obinze/ Umuokanne NDDC road attracted,
5. Umuokanne/Umuokuzu/Ohoba NDDC road attracted,
6. Seasonal sponsorship of football competition.
7. ICT/Staff Lounge built right inside the OhajiEgbema LGA Headquater.
8. Youths of Ohaji /Egbema were given job opportunities at imo state polytechnic Umuagwo Ohaji now university of agriculture and environmental sciences umuagwo ohaji of which Emmanuel Maduagwu from Amafor Ohaji is one of them. Many were given admission into tertiary institutions
9. Several People Oriented Bills and Motions were Sponsored and Co-sponsored.
10. Free Medicals Sponsored.
11. Stomach Infrastructure/Palliative was given to the People of Ohaji/Egbema State Constituency, mostly during festive period and beyond.
12. And So On And So Forth.
Having Established And Outlined The Achievements Of Honourable Emma Orie, As A Legislator, Between 2015-2019, Let Me Therefore Once Again Caution These Uncharacteristic Political Buccaneers , Who Do Not Mean Well For Ohaji/Egbema State Constituency To Desist From Bringing Instability To The Local Government Area, Through False Allegations And Blackmails Against Its Respected Leaders.
Honourable Emma Orie Is Qualified To Contest For The State House Of Assembly Election Come 2023. No Amount Of Blackmail Will Incinerate This Desire.
