Ahead of the February 26th, 2022 House of Assembly bye-election billed to place in Ngor Okpala LGA , State Chairman of Imo APC, Sir. MacDonald Ebere, PhD, has called for a rancour free election, that will herald the emergence of a Progressive Legislator that will see to the needs of Ngor Okpala Constituents.
He said this in a Town Hall meeting organized by the State Working Committee of the Party for the voting electorates in Ngor Okpala State Constituency. Sir. MacDonald added that there's need for political Leaders of the APC in Ngor Okpala to work round the clock and see to it that Ngor Okpala will not produce another Legislator imbued with traits of incompetence as initially produced by the opposition, as that will once again unleash untold hardship to the people of Ngor Okpala.
Sir. MacDonald went further to expose that the February 26th bye-election is the first litmus test of the brand New State Working Committee of the Party and so the party can't afford to fail, as he charged every card carrying member of the party to take the forthcoming House of Assembly bye-election serious. He pointed that massive Door to Door Campaign should start in earnest , so as to ensure proper acceptance of the Party by every card carrying Ngor Okpala indigene.
The State Party Chairman didn't fail to call for Unity , Synergy , productive sense of collectivism , communalism and togetherness from Leaders , Executives and members of the Party, which if assented to will bring total victory for the party in the LGA.
During the course of the State Party Chairman's Address, he issued the following warnings;
1) That every registered member of the party , has the right to vote and as well be voted for , that is to say that every member of the Party desirous of being part of the 9th Assembly, can purchase the nomination form and participate in the primaries , after which a sole candidate of the party will emerge..
2) The Candidate that emerges after the primaries must be a loyalist of the party , a dedicated party man accepted by his people.
3) That the Party has no anointed candidate ahead of February 26th bye-election election, as the party will only support the candidate that emerges after the primaries .
4) Whoever emerges must be supported by the Executives, Leaders and members of the Party in Ngor Okpala and as such pushed to the zenith of success.
Sir. MacDonald brought good tidings from the State Governor, Dist. Sen. Hope Uzodimma to the good people of Ngor Okpala. He went further ln commending the governor of the state and the leader of the party, His Excellency Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodimma for his examplary leadership dexterity and unparalleled commitment to the policy thrust of his administration as encapsulated under the shared prosperity mentra of recovery, rehabilitation and reconstruction, which according to the chairman has manifested in the various people oriented projects such as visible infrastructural development, urban renewal, and other retinues of achievements , some which are physically present in Ngor Okpala .
Another important information the Party Chairman dropped on the laps of those gathered is the necessity for all eligible voting electorates of the LGA to take advantage of the ongoing online PVC registration exercise , and update/revalidate their PVC statuses.
