Imo state Governor, Senator Hope Uzodimma on Monday sworn in new Commissioners in the State.
The Governor in his address,urged the commissioners to see the appointment as a call to serve the good people of the state and not one to enrich themselves. He urged them to seize the opportunity to write their names in the sands of time.
Uzodimma said that he took his time to appoint the new set of commissioners because he wanted the best hands for his administration and stated that he is convinced that he has the best.
"You must understand the vision and mission of the Government you are serving. Our priority has always been to play governance over politics. Your primary responsibility is service and governance and not politicking. Concentrate on working with me to share prosperity to our people". Uzodimma said.
The governor further said that he won't accept mediocre attitude from anyone in his administration,also preached for love and togetherness amongst all his appointees.
"You are ambassadors of our government and of the Imo people, Your conduct should be above board, We shall not condone nepotism. I will not tolerate infighting - We are a team and should work as a team. There must be absolute and indiluted loyalty to the Government. Always be guided by your love to our State". Uzodimma said.
