Mbaitoli will play a strategic role in the forthcoming elections - Agogbuo
The Chairman of All Progressives Congress APC in Mbaitoli Local Government Area, Hon Chinonye Agogbuo has restated that the party in the LGA is warming up to once again play a very strategic role in the 2023 General Elections and assured of it's readiness to win all elective positions.
Agogbuo stated this when members of the state working committee from Owerri zone led by the Zonal Chairman paid a working visit to selected leaders of Mbaitoli APC at the residence of the former State Chairman of the party, Chief Marcon Nlemigbo.
The Mbaitoli APC Chairman noted that Mbaitoli putting into cognizant the numerical strength as the biggest LGA in the East of the Niger by voting value will be the determinant in the elections.
He assured the Owerri Zonal Officials that true reconcilation of aggrieved members of the party in the LGA has taken place and that the majority are battle ready to progressively move the party to win elections.
Agogbuo further applauded the Visionary Governor of Imo State, Senator Hope Uzodimma for his unprecedented love for sons and daughters of Mbaitoli as can be exemplified in the appointments of illustrious sons and daughters of the LGA in positions of trust.
He noted that the Governor's love to the LGA can only be reciprocated by ensuring that APC gets majority of the votes in the area.
The Mbaitoli APC Chairman also thanked the Governor for fulfilling his promises to Ndi-Imo and congratulated him on the proposed visit of the President of Nigeria, President Muhammad Buhari on Tuesday to commission his 3R Shared Prosperity Government signature projects
In his address,the Owerri Zonal Chairman of APC, Chief Ogu said that the essence of their visit to Mbaitoli is to interface with leaders of the party in the LGA considering the obvious fact that Mbaitoli is a foremost player in Imo state politics, build a formidable structure to deliver all the candidates of the party and to solicit ways to improve the reward system in the party.
Commissioner for Lands,Barr Kaezie Ogazie,the Commissioner representing Owerri zone in the House of Assembly service commission, Hon Ifeanyi Nnataraonye, the House of Assembly candidate in Mbaitoli,Hon Innocent Ikpamezie, Chief DM Agogbuo, Chief Marcon Nlemigbo,Chief Chris Nwabia, Hon Ugochukwu Osuji amongst other leaders that spoke proffered solutions to matters raised, they reiterated that Mbaitoli is united and will do the needful come next year's election.
