Mbaitoli APC will present Popular Candidates in 2023 Elections- Agogbuo
The Mbaitoli All Progressives Congress APC, Chairman, Hon Chinonye Agogbuo has said that the Party in the LGA will present only popular candidates during the forthcoming 2023 general elections. Hon Agogbuo stated this when a House of Assembly aspirant for the position of Mbaitoli House of Assembly, Mr Chimaraoke Oparaugo , hosted the LGA party executives at his Amaike home.
The result - oriented Mbaitoli APC Party chairman commended Mr Oparaugo for the show of his willingness to serve the good people of Mbaitoli, Agogbuo urged him as he always does to every aspirants to consult widely as the party will only field the popular and familiar aspirant as his candidate for all positions. He noted that to get it right,the party must do the right thing. He emphasized his promise to provide a level playing ground for all aspirants to thrive. The vibrant Agogbuo told the enthusiastic gathering that Mbaitoli by venture of her voting strength is strategic for every government and elections.
Agogbuo commended the Leader of the party in the state, Senator Hope Uzodimma for his visionary leadership in the state which has translated to dividends of Democracy being enjoyed by Imolites across the states, he specifically thanked the Governor for the construction of Owerri-Okigwe and Owerri-Orlu, the two major roads passed various communities of Mbaitoli. He charged the Party faithfuls present to ensure victory for the APC in the general elections.
He said, "When the time is right, we will ensure we get the best candidate for Mbaitoli, the time for sentiments is over, we must get it right in 2023, Mbaitoli needs quality representation and by God's special Grace, we will get it. We are a big player in the politics of Imo state and as a big player,we must set the pace.
"Our leader, Senator Hope Uzodimma is very much keen on happenings in Mbaitoli, we must not let him down, we must deliver Mbaitoli wholly to the Party. His Excellency has done a lot in terms of Infrastructural and Human Capital development, we have never had it this good, all he needs is our support" He said.
Earlier in his speech, the House of Assembly aspirant, Mr Chimaraoke Oparaugo, highlighted his plans for the people of Mbaitoli, from the area of job creation, to security and boundary dispute settlement. He promised to run an open door policy if elected.
He thanked the LGA party chairman for bringing undiluted peace to the party, noting that Mbaitoli has never been as united as this before. He pledged his loyalty to the 3R shared prosperity government of Senator Hope Uzodimma.
