Following the unjust suspension of Rt. Hon. Okey Onyekanma, member representing Mbaitolu state Constituency in the Imo state House of Assembly by the leadership of the Assembly on the 8th of November,2021 alongside the immediate past speaker and member representing Orsu state Constituency, Rt. Hon. Paul Emeziem.
Leaders of all the various support and volunteer groups in the Peoples Democratic party PDP in the state have passed 'Implicit Vote of Conference' on Hon. Onyekanma. They made this known in a communique released to news men and obtained by Imo Flash after their meeting at PDP state secretariat, Owerri.

IMO PDP SUPPORT AND VOLUNTEER GROUPS PASSES VOTE OF CONFIDENCE ON ONYEKANMA
CALLS FOR HIS IMMEDIATE REINSTATEMENT
The leadership of the Imo PDP Support and Volunteer Groups, on Friday, passed a vote of implicit confidence on the member representing Mbaitoli state Constituency at the Imo state House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Okey Onyekanma.
Onyekanma was on Monday, November 8, suspended by the leadership of Imo state House of Assembly, alongside Paul Emeziem (former speaker) and Ekene Nnodumele, who represents Orsu state constituency.
Speaking during a meeting for appraisal of performance at the Imo state PDP Secretariat, Okigwe road, Owerri, the Director-General of Imo PDP Support and Volunteer Groups, Pharm. Cannice Chukwunonyerem Nwosu, said "that Onyekanma's suspension was unlawful."
He called on the leadership of Imo state House of Assembly "to overturn the suspension of Mbaitoli representative and reinstate him with immediate effect."
Moving a motion for vote of confidence which was unanimously endorsed by the leaders of over 39 support and volunteer groups, the UNN trained pharmacist, Nwosu, said that the former deputy speaker had performed brilliantly well.
"Onyekanma has redefined effective and quality representation. The party, Mbaitoli, and Imolites are proud of him.
We, therefore, demand that he be reinstated with immediate effect."
