Imo Speaker Donates 100% of his Salary as Speaker to Okigwe Zone APC Youths
It was a change of narrative today (21/12/2021) as the Rt. Hon. Speaker of Imo State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Barr. Kennedy Chidozie Ibeh donates his 100% salary as Rt. Hon. Speaker throughout his speakership of the 9th Assembly to the Six Youth Leaders of the All Progressives Congress from Okigwe Zone.
The Speaker who was accompanied by the Deputy Speaker, the Chief Whip and Hon. Commissioner for Youths and Sports stressed that the donation of his salary for every month to the APC Youth Leaders is in keeping with his commitment and dedication to supporting the Party in Obowo, Okigwe Zone, and Imo State by extrapolation ably led by the Chairman, Hon. Chief Dr. MacDonald Ebere. He stated that for him, every person with sincerity of purpose and love for the State should support the Governor of Imo State and the 3R Agenda of His Excellency, Dist. Sen. Hope Uzodinma.
The Speaker firmly left assurances of his commitment to ensuring the growth of the Party in the Zone and Imo State as he would do everything within the legitimate confines of his means to ensure that the Party grows in strength and fully reinforced at all levels.
The Chairman of the Party spared no encomium in thanking the Rt. Hon. Speaker whom he described as the best thing that has happened to the Imo State House of Assembly. This event was witnessed by all the members of the State Working Committee, the Local Government Chairmen of the Party and the Youth Leaders of the Party. The Chairman who noted that Mr. Speaker happens to be the first high profiled office holder to visit the party and in a grand style thanked Mr. Speaker and the leadership of the 9th House as he promised them of the support of the Party at all times. He noted that this is the first time such a thing is happening in the annals of Imo State Politics and further enjoined other Stakeholders to selflessly support the Government of Imo State irrespective of party sentiments.
