The Imo State Government on Monday described as wicked, the speculation that the wife of the Governor of the state, Chioma Uzodinma, was abducted.
The state Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Declan Emelumba, said that the sponsors of the rumour are “devils’ agents.” In an interview with Punch he described the rumor peddlers as people wishing the State bad.
“There is no truth in that. Those who are behind the rumour are wicked and are devil’s agents. They are the ones wishing the state bad.”
Recall that Imoflash reported the murder of Dr. Chike Akunyili the husband to the former Minister of Information and DG NAFDAC Late Prof. Dora Akunyili in Nkpor Anambra State. South East has witnessed a high rate of criminality including barbaric killings and kidnappings in the last few months and Imo State has received a fair share.
