As a sign of solidarity , loyalty and a promise of a future filled with Hope , 27 LGA chairmen of the All Progressives Congress in imo state today visited the State Chairman of the Party, Hon. MacDonald Ebere, PhD, in a bid to reaffirm their commitment towards helping him to succeed .
Speaking on behalf of his colleagues as Chairman of all the 27 LGA Chairmen, Owerri Municipal APC Chairman Hon. Onyekachi Ibezim , told the State Party Chairman that the reason for the visit is to officially congratulate him on his emergence at the polls and at the same time bring to his Knowledge the activities of the party across the various LGAs in the state .
Hon. Onyekachi told the chairman that across the state , serious campaigns, meetings and mobilization gatherings are as expected in full throttle , as he said no stone will be left unturned till the entire state is fully captured for APC .
He asked the workaholic Hon. Ebere to call on any of Chairmen at anytime , as each Chairman is mandated to see and help the party succeed. Hon. Onyekachi added that every LGA party chairman is aware of what is required of them especially in the coming ward and LGA election scheduled to hold next year , and so none can afford to fail the party.
In his remark , Hon. MacDonald said as promised ,he's ready to accommodate everyone and give listening ears to all complains , advice and challenges as the interest of the party comes first before any other thing as the party is poised to deliver the will and intentions of the state Governor Dist.Sen. Hope Uzodimma, not removing the plan to deliver the party's candidates yet again in the coming election. He proposed the infusion of a spirit of collectivism, cohesion and sportsmanship.
He used the opportunity of the meeting to remind them that each chairman is expected by January 2nd to turn in their Quarterly/progress report as the party will use it to run a visibility study on the reach , success and if there's any , lapses of the party . Hon. MacDonald warned against nonchalant , toxic and poisonous acts capable of frustrating the party, as those caught in any of the acts aforementioned will be shown the exit door.
Highpoint of the meeting was the presentation of a cow and drinks of different brands as gifts to the state chairman by the LGA party chairmen . The state chairman while receiving gifts promised to run an all inclusive administration devoid of rancor , neglect or division
