Governor Uzodimma's educational program gets a boost
The Member Representing the good people of Okigwe South Federal Constituency in the Green Chambers of the National Assembly, Hon. Dcn. Chike Okafor has attracted to his credit 6 Classrooms and Examination halls in the 3 Local Government Areas of the constituency.
The All Progressives Congress (APC) Federal Lawmaker who enjoys a good working relationship with the Governor, His Exellency, Sen. Hope Uzodimma nominated the projects to be situated in the largest wards of the 3 Local Government Areas.
This, no doubt, complements the efforts of the Governor to invest in educational infrastructure evident in the upgrade of the Imo State Polytechnic at Umuagwo to a University of Agriculture and Environmental Sciences; Recovery of the Eastern Palm University in Ideato now K.O Mbadiwe University; construction of the new Imo Polytechnic at Omuma in Oru East; the rehabilitation of Imo State University Teaching Hospital in Orlu and her adjoining roads including the attraction of the ongoing construction of Emergency and Infectious Diseases Hospital for the South East and Eastern Region of Nigeria situated in Orlu, as executed by the NNPC among others.
Hon. Chike Okafor who resolved to support the developmental effort of the Governor, with Educational projects has in his records, other educational projects already executed including the construction of 13 Classroom Blocks in Amainyi-nta, Ihitte-Uboma LGA and Comprehensive Secondary School, Ikenanzizi Obowo - which he singlehandedly built.
Hon. Chike Okafor has in the past 10 years continued to enroll his constituents for WAEC, NECO and JAMB and also offer scholarships to the best performing WAEC students annually, up to University level.
The unifying spirit by these progressive minded leaders, in the development of the state, remains a key factor that had been lacking in the past and it's projected to transform the State, with the support of all Imolites, beyond expectations.
Imo is winning.
