ENGR. CHUKWU TASKS APC YOUTH/STUDENT GROUP REVALIDATION COMMITTEE ON DILIGENCE AND ALL INCLUSIVENESS.
The Special Adviser and General Manager of Owerri Capital Development Authority (OCDA) Engr. Francis Chukwu has charged the Committee on Student/Youth Revalidation and Registration under the office of the Youth Leader of the State Working Committee of the All Progressive Congress APC to carryout their mandate of identification, registration and revalidation of the new and existing Students and Youth groups, diligently and to ensure all inclusiveness in the entire process.
He made this known on Wednesday in his office while receiving some selected members of the Committee led by the Co-chairman Ambrose Nwaogugwu during their courtesy to him as part of the Activities of the Committee.
Engr. Francis Chukwu who was appreciative of the Governor His Excellency Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodimma for saddling him with the responsibility of overseeing Owerri Capital Development Authority, congratulated the group for being found worthy by the Governing party to carryout such assignment which he described as sensitive and strategic.
While encouraging them to use the mobilisation process to enlighten the Student/Youth Groups on the achievements of Governor Uzodimma, he stressed the need for them to inform and educate various Student/Youth Groups of the Empowerment Programmes of the Imo first citizen, emphasizing that the Governor has given Imo Youths pride of place in His Shared Prosperity Government.
Speaking further Engr. Chukwu said "when you bring to their knowledge the commitment of His Excellency towards the Welfare of the Students/Youths, that will be a major step towards making them understand why they should support the Shared Prosperity Government as well as to convince them on the benefits of our great party the All Progressives Congress in Imo State."
The Governor's Aide assured the group of his readiness to accord them the necessary support within his capability in order to help them achieve the objectives for which the Governing Party constituted them.
Earlier in his speech, the leader of the delegation and Co-chairman of the Committee Ambrose Nwaogwugwu stated that the Committee was inaugurated by State Youth Leader of the APC in order to identify and organize Students/Youth Groups that support the party for the purpose of having a common ground to further galvanize and consolidate the support base of the party, adding that they identified Engr. Chukwu as a Youth friendly Appointee of the State Government under the All Progressives Congress Government in Imo State, while further soliciting the support of the OCDA General Manager in order to achieve their mandate.
Adding his voice, the Secretary of the Committee Hon. Odunze Ajero lauded the GM for his initiatives and Activities which he observed are always visible on various media platforms, urging him to sustain the tempo. He remarked that they have followed the OCDA General Manager Engr. Francis Chukwu right from his first appointment as the Special Adviser to the Governor on Project Monitoring Okigwe Zone, pointing out that the GM performed creditably well which he said contributed to the present Appointment as the OCDA General Manager.
