Deacon Chike Okafor Fetes APC Executives In Okigwe South
.....DECLARES TOTAL SUPPORT TO THE LEADERSHIP OF GOVERNOR HOPE UZODINMA .....SAYS OKIGWE SOUTH WILL REMAIN THE HEADQUARTERS OF APC IN IMO STATE!
The Honourable member representing Obowo, Ihitte Uboma and Ehime Mbano in the federal house of representatives, Hon. Deacon Chike Okafor , yesterday, feted the leadership of All Progressive Congress (APC) in Okigwe South Federal Constituency, in his country home of Umuokeh, Obowo local government area, in the spirit of Christmas celebration.
The enlarged party meeting had in attendance all the newly elected ward, local government and state officers of APC across Okigwe South federal constituency. The meeting ended in a state of conjubilant conjugacy as everyone left to their various homes happy, satisfied and fulfilled.
While addressing the party faithfuls Hon. Deacon Chike Okafor, stated emphatically that the state Governor, Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodinma, remains the leader of the party in Imo State while Okigwe South federal constituency will always be the headquarters of APC in Imo state, and urged every member of the party to give the Governor every support needed to move the party and state forward.
"Governor Hope Uzodinma remains the leader of the party in Imo state and Okigwe South has no reason, whatsoever to fail the Governor, because, he has given so much to the people of Okigwe South. The ministerial position for Imo state was given to the son of Okigwe South Hon. Emeka Nwajiuba, the Senator representing Okigwe zone Sen. Frank Ibezim, is an indigene of Okigwe South, Imo state Speaker, the number three (3) citizen of the state, Barr Kennedy Ibeh, is from Okigwe South, the Secretary to the State Government, Chief Cosmos Iwu, who happens to be the Administrative Head of Shared Prosperity Government of the Governor, is from Okigwe South. The Governor gave Obowo a commissioner and in Ihitte Uboma he gave them two commissioners. While one Commissioner is from Ihitte clan the other one is from Uboma".
On the party executives, he said "all of you have all been elected by party members and the Governor has made his choice by entrusting you with the affairs of the party from ward to local government to steer, you must show leadership, capacity and dexterity by growing the party, embracing new members and putting up a formidable structures that will keep the party as the dominant party in Okigwe South federal constituency".
On the rancorous relationship existing amongst party faithfuls, Hon. Deacon Chike Okafor asserted "now that you've all emerged successfully from party congresses you should begin to reposition the party by preaching peace to one another, embark on membership drive across your political wards, eschew egocentric and inimical behaviours capable of derailing the growth of the party. Your major objectives should be on how to nurture the party in order to sweep future elections overwhelmingly".
All those who spoke during the meeting, such as Hon. Kenneth Nwachukwu, APC zonal Chairman Okigwe zone, Hon. Udoka Iwueke, APC state youth leader, Chief Pius Uwaleke, Party Chairman Obowo Local Government Area, Hon. Innocent Chibundu, party chairman Ihitte Uboma Local Government Area, Hon. Austin Iwuoha party chairman Ehime Mbano and Chief Allien Enwerem, a state officer, in one accord, agreed not just to reposition the party but to make it formidable in order to win every election in Okigwe South federal constituency.
