The newly inaugurated Mbaitoli East and Mbaitoli South Development Centers Coordinators, Prince Ugonna Achuko and Hon Umezu Chibueze Nnanna respectively have been urged to hit the ground running in the discharge of their duties in order to ensure that the yearnings and aspirations of the rural populace are met.
This call was made by Hon Chinonye Agogbuo, the All Progressives Congress APC Chairman in Mbaitoli Local Government Area when he played host to Prince Ugonna Achuko and Hon Umezu Chibueze Nnanna at his office in a closed door meeting
He applauded the Executive Governor of Imo State, Senator Hope Uzodimma for finding it essential in bringing back the Development Centers to life in the state, a move he noted will accelerate the spread of dividends of democracy to the grassroots and pleaded with them to replicate the good works being done by the Governor in the state in their various areas.
He challenged the coordinators to discharge their duties diligently and uprightly no matter whose ox is gored.
He specifically appreciated the people of Mbaitoli East for rallying round their coordinator in ensuring that they get a temporary secretariat and pleaded with the people of Mbaitoli South to follow suit.
Agogbuo advised them to reach out to good spirited individuals and stakeholders like President Generals, Village heads and Traditional rulers in their locality for assistance to address pressing challenges that comes with their offices while waiting further directives from the government
Agogbuo further said that the Governor of Imo State, Senator Hope Uzodimma has done marvelously well in the state despite the lingering insecurity situation in the state which have taken an ugly toll on the finances of the state.
He regrettably noted that the oppositions in the state and enemies of the government have continuously blackmailed the administration of Governor Uzodimma, whenever the state security apparatus makes an inroad in tackling the insecurity challenges. He advised the Governor not to be distracted.
In their various remarks, Prince Ugonna Achuko and Hon Umezu Chibueze Nnanna thanked Agogbuo for finding time to meet with them.
They enumerated the various challenges encountered since assumption of office and called for assistance from the state government.
They complained that their dilapidated office spaces are being occupied by the men of the Nigerian Police , a situation which has left them hanging without offices.
They intimated the Mbaitoli APC Chairman on some of their projects.
They assured the chairman of their unalloyed support in ensuring that APC records landslide victory in the forthcoming General Elections and promised to continually mobilize for the party in the grassroots.
