Agogbuo solicits support of Mbaitoli President Generals in insuing Peace in the various Communities
President Generals (PGs) of the various Communities in Mbaitoli Local Government Area have been called upon to help the Government in the fight to rid the communities of bad elements and also proffer lasting peace building in the grassroots.
This charge to the Mbaitoli PGs was made by the All Progressives Congress APC Chairman in the LGA, Hon Chinonye Agogbuo when he played host to the apex community leaders who were on an interactive visit to his office.
Agogbuo noted that as t
he closest body to the grassroots,the PGs are very strategic in insuing peace in their communities, he advised them to enhance their colloboration with the government and the law enforcement agencies.
The Mbaitoli APC Chairman while reacting to the litany of complaints presented by his guests promised to ensure that they will form cardinal pillars in the spread of dividends of Democracy to the grassroots.
He asked for their continuous and resolute support to the 3R Shared Prosperity Government of Senator Hope Uzodimma.
He said that the Governo
r has a very huge interest in the affairs of Mbaitoli as the LGA is a very big player in the Politics of Imo State by venture of being the largest and most populated LGA in not just the state but in the South East in general.
He appreciated the Governor for bringing back the Development Centers and also for appointing Mbaitoli sons and daughters in position of trust. He also gave kudos to the Governor for paying up the debt owed by the previous administration which led to the seizure of Standard Shoe industry in Owerri by Assets Management cooperation of Nigeria (AMCON), saying that today, standard shoe industry is back to the Imo state government.
Agogbuo described Senator Uzodimma as a Talk and Do Governor who is building lasting legacies in the state.
He further enjoined the PGs to give maximum cooperation to the newly appointed Mbaitoli SOLAD, Hon Chinaza Opara and the development centers Coordinators, Hon Umez Uchenna and Hon Ugonna Achuko of Mbaitoli South and Mbaitoli East respectively.
Speaking,the President of Mbaitoli President Generals, Hon Chief Emma Duru commended Agogbuo for always reaching out to the PGs and promised to continually contribute their own quota in the development of the LGA
Chief Vic Mgbenosi, the Alaenyi community PG decried the state of bad roads in Mbaitoli LGA, especially the Ukwu Orji -Nwaoruebi-Mbieri road, he pleaded that the Governor should come to their aide in the construction of that road, noting that the road will decongest 20% of traffic in Owerri
Other speakers thanked the Governor for bringing back the Development Centers and pledged their total support to his administration.
They solicited for a meeting with the governor which will give them a sense of belonging and boost their moral.
