Agogbuo hosts Mbaitoli Students, sues for more youths participation in politics

The Chairman of All Progressives Congress APC in Mbaitoli Local Government Area, Hon Chinonye Agogbuo has urged youths to actively participate more in politics in order to be adequately prepared to take over leadership and governance in the country.

Agogbuo made this known when a delegation of Mbaitoli students leaders paid him a solidarity visit in his office.

He expressed happiness that Mbaitoli students forms majority of the leadership of Students and youths groups in the state.

He noted that nothing comes on a platter of gold and encouraged the students to be focused in their life pursuit as the future looks bright. He promised to fashion out empowerment programs for the students, in addition to having an interactive session with the students community to intimate them on the happenings in the LGA particular and the state in general.

Agogbuo commended the Executive Governor of Imo State, Senator Hope Uzodimma for his pragmatic approach to governance in the state, he said that the Governor is a man full with goodwill, good conscience and has the interest of the state at heart.

He hailed the governor for the flag off of three more important roads in the state, Owerri - Mbaise, Mbaise -Umuahia and Akokwa-Orlu roads, this he said is unprecedented in the history of the state.

Agogbuo further said that in spite of the distractions from the opposition and the lingering insecurity situation in the state, the governor has continued to be honest in his dealings in the state, saying that the return of recovered properties looted by the previous administrations to the original owners by Governor Uzodimma without asking for a penny from them or reallocating them to make money speaks volume of the integrity of the Imo Chief Executive.

He called on the students to continue to support the administration of Governor Uzodimma as he means well for all Imolites and not one who's after self aggrandizement and social media propaganda,but believes in execution.

While urging today to be good ambassadors of their families, Agogbuo advised the students to shun cultism and other negative social vices, he told them not to be vulnerable for politicians to be used as miscreants and agents to pull down the government.

Agogbuos remarks, the leader of the delegation and National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) leader in Imo state, Comrade Gerald Joy said that they were on the visit to appreciate Hon Agogbuo for his numerous achievements since he assumed office, Gerald noted that the students in the LGA feels neglected,hence the need to engage them positively and solicited for empowerment programs for them.

Also Speaking, the National President of National Association of Imo State students (NAISS), Comrade Umukoro Marvis described the Mbaitoli APC Chairman as an easy going and very accessible, defining him as a rare breed of politician, he expressed the readiness of Mbaitoli students to work assiduously with Hon Agogbuo to deliver APC in the LGA.

Also present was Former UNN NAISS president,HRM Micheal Onyejindu, Imo state coordinator of Joint Christian Campus Fellowship (JCCF), Princewill Emmanuel, Comrade Anoruo Kingsley, amongst other students leaders
