Agogbuo enjoins Mbaitolu IMC members to unite disgruntled APC Members
The All Progressives Congress APC, Mbaitolu Local Government Area Chairman, Hon. Chinonye Agogbuo has enjoined members of the LGA Interim Management Committe IMC, to ensure that all members of the party in the LGA who in one way or the other feels aggrieved, disgruntled,resentful and indignant are united for a common front.
Hon. Agogbuo made this charge when members of Mbaitolu Local Government Area IMC members paid him a solidarity visit at his office. While appreciating them for coming, he noted that Mbaitolu is of utmost significance in the politics of Imo state and indeed Nigeria, as the LGA parades the highest number in terms of voting strength, not only in the state but the country in general.
He further said that it is time to shun politics of bitterness and embrace politics of open mindedness and oneness, adding that the development of the LGA depends on how assiduously everyone works.
He noted that the Governor, Senator Hope Uzodimma has a great deal of interest in what is happening in Mbaitoli. He thanked the Governor for entrusting essential/substantial positions to Sons and Daughters of the LGA in his 3R Government and pledged not to disappoint him. He enumerated some of the giant strides recorded by the Governor in just two years in office.
He charged the IMC members on grassroots mobilization saying " Going forward, you all have roles to play, I urge you to go to your different wards and work with your ward executives to sensitize and mobilize the grassroots for the Party, we have a lot of battles ahead and we must be ready by putting our house in order, Our people have to be encouraged to enroll in the ongoing INEC voter's registration".
On the forthcoming General Elections, Hon Agogbuo admonised the IMC members to ensure that APC, being the ruling party in the state clinches all available positions in Mbaitoli, " We need to work together to deliver APC in the House of Assembly, House of Representatives and the Senate in the forthcoming elections and I know that with the super visionary leadership of His Excellency, Senator Hope Uzodimma, it will be a reality".
Speaking earlier, the leader of the delegation and member representing Ogwa ward 2, Hon. Chief. Engr. Uba Kingsley, in the IMC thanked Hon. Agogbuo for instilling Peace , Love and togetherness in Mbaitoli APC. He reaffirmed the unflinching support of the IMC members to the leadership of Senator Hope Uzodimma. He assured the Party Chairman that they are solidly behind him.
"We are here to pay you a solidarity and support visit, and also to tell you that the Mbaitolu IMC under the vibrant and dynamic Chairmanship of Hon John Eke, are unshakable with the Governor. We plead that you continue the good work you are doing in our Party LGA, APC is one in Imo state".
Various speakers called for peace in the party and also thanked the Governor for his good works.
