Agogbuo encourages Mbaitoli President Generals of the 34 Autonomous Communities to ensure peace in their Localities
Hon Chinonye Agogbuo, the ardent chairman of All Progressives Congress APC, Mbaitoli Local Government Area has encouraged the 34 president generals in the LGA to ensure that peace returns to their localities as they are more acquainted with the workings of the communities. He made this known when he played host to members of the LGA president generals in his office on Tuesday.
He added that for peace to return to our localities, the PGs have massive roles to play, he encouraged them to work hand in gloves with the police and other security agencies to fish out the bad eggs in the society, noting that the police can not function properly without information. He said that as the most grass rooted government, the PGs should make it habitual to call for town hall meetings where pertinent issues concerning the communities will he discussed. He charged them to speak to the youths in their different communities to shun violence and embrace peace, noting that any society that does not have peace will lack developments, as no business owner will risk his investments in such places.
He expressed gratitude to the indefatigable Governor of the state, senator Hope Uzodimma, who despite the plethora of distractions and antics by the opposition elements has done wonderfully well for the people of the state. He highlighted some of the projects being carried out by the 3R shared prosperity government to include; the renovation health centers in all the Communities in the state, the 5km roads per LGA currently being done by the administration in all the LGAs, which contractors have been mobilized to site, the Orlu-Owerri and Owerri-Okigwe roads that heretofore abandoned by successive governments, these major roads are above 90% completed with street lights adorning them, construction of countless municipal roads, creating empowerment schemes for the Youths. He called on them to give total support to the Governor to enable him achieve more.
Speaking earlier, the leader of the group and president of Mbaitoli President Generals, Chief Emma Duru showered praises on Hon Agogbuo for steadily the ship in the development of Mbaitoli, he said that the problem of Mbaitoli has always been the Pulling him down syndrome, but, expressed satisfaction that the ugly trend seems to be on the decline now. He appreciated the governor for remembering Mbaitoli sons and daughters and appointing them into positions of trust. He assured of their support in ensuring that peace returns to the communities.
