Agogbuo accepts Imo NAWOJ Grand Patronship Offer

Another accolade and recognition will be conferred on the indefatigable, digital and dynamic Chairman of All Progressives Congress APC in Mbaitoli Local Government Area, Hon Chinonye Agogbuo as he graciously accepted the offer of Nigeria Association of Women Journalists NAWOJ, Imo State chapter to be one of the association's Grand Patron.

Speaking when the executive of Imo NAWOJ paid him a visit in his office, Agogbuo appreciated the association for finding him worthy to be so honoured. He said that the primary aim of accepting the Grand Patronship offer is that it will afford him the opportunity to continually positively impact the society.

He challenged them to be diligent in their duties, always report unbiased and verifiable news and endeavor not to be used as tools to spread propaganda and rumour mongering. He noted that women naturally are known to be factual in their reportage and advised them not to bring the profession to disrepute.

Agogbuo said that Governor Hope Uzodimma is a gender friendly one as evident in the many awards and recognitions conferred on the Imo state Chief Executive as a He for She ambassador.

He further said that senator Uzodimma has been able to tackle head-on the prevailing insecurity situation in the state, orchestrated by the opponents of the government who has sworn never to allow Governor Uzodimma to succeed.

The Mbaitoli APC Chairman said that majority of Governor Uzodimma's projects in Imo state are under reported, he noted that the Governor is not a man that seeks for cheap popularity, personal aggrandizement or dances in front of the camera but one who lets his unmatched achievements speak for him. He opined that nature will be kind to the Governor.

Agogbuo noted that for the first time in the history of Imo state, a Governor has been able to recover properties stolen by previous administrations and instead of making money from reallocating the properties, decided to return them for free to their original owners.

In a swift reaction, the Chairperson of NAWOJ in Imo state, Barr Vivian Ohili commended Agogbuo for his exemplary and exceptional leadership skills, she noted that as a gold fish, he has no hiding place as his good works are speaking magnificently for him everywhere.

She encouraged him not to let his guards down.

The Vice chairperson of Imo NAWOJ, Princess Stevine Michaels and other executives were present at the visit.
