2023: We will ensure equal playing ground for all- Agogbuo reiterates
Hon Chinonye Agogbuo, The All Progressives Congress APC, Mbaitoli Local Government Area Chairman, has reiterated the party's resolve to ensure an equal playing ground for all seeking different political offices from the Local Government Area level to the state level. He made this known during the empowerment program organised by an Owerri Zone senatorial hopeful, Chief Jerry Chukwueke (ohamadike Owerri), for the people of Mbaitoli LGA at Orodo ward A on Saturday, 19/03/2022.
Agogbuo opined that Mbaitoli being the biggest Local Government Area in terms of voting strength in Nigeria, is always a major player as to who gets what in the state. He applauded Chief Jerry Chukwueke for his philanthropic gesture towards the people of the LGA, describing him as an experienced, exemplary and impeccable leader of not just Owerri Zone but the state in general. Agogbuo noted that at the right time, Mbaitoli will speak with one voice, he adviced him to continue his consultation drive across all strata of the zone.
The dynamic and vibrant Mbaitoli APC Chairman used the opportunity to eulogize and commend the Executive Governor of Imo State, Senator Hope Uzodimma for making APC a darling for Imolites as can be seen with the caliber of people seeking to get the party's tickets for various positions in the state. He mentioned some of the people oriented projects of the governor, noting that Imolites have not had it this good. He said that the state has been turned to a construction site and encouraged the mammoth crowd to always support the governor in his earnest desire to develop the state.
Speaking, Chief Jerry Chukwueke, outlined his plans for the people of Owerri zone if elected as a senator, he said he will use his wealth of experience and connections both in the private and political sector to attract unprecedented economic and Infrastructural developments to the zone. He made it clear that Mbaitoli been his maternal home will not be left out.
Highpoint of the event was the distribution of wrappers to women from all the wards in the LGA, the exercise was supervised by Hon Agogbuo.
Earlier on, Chief Jerry Chukwueke hosted selected leaders of Mbaitoli at the home of Chief Marcon Nlemigbo, he sought for the support of the leaders to actualize his mandate.
Hon Agoguo, while responding, assured him of the party support as has been the case when other aspirants visited.
