Jubilation and excitement filled the air as the Spokesperson for Coalition of United Political Parties (CUPP) and Federal House of Representative aspirant for Ideato Federal Constituency, Barr Ikenga Ugochinyere took time to go on a ward tour of his constituency on the 26th of December, 2021.

The aim of the tour was to felicitate with his grassroot supporters on the Christmas celebration. In Osina as monitored by Imoflash, hundreds of Supporters were all seated in the community hall awaiting his arrival. He was received by woman who were cheerfully chanting songs of support for him.

In his welcome address, the former Caretaker Chairman of Ideato North Local Government, Hon. Ernest Njesi, highlighted the commitment of Ikenga to the development of the Ideato Nation and commended his supporters for coming out to welcome him. "Ikenga is a marketable candidate and the best to represent the Ideato Federal Conctituency as he has shown capacity in his selfless strides as the mouth piece of the people through CUPP' Hon Njesi said.

Ikenga Ugochinyere in his address thanked his supporters for their effort to ensuring that he gets his mandate come 2023 general elections and promised to support bills that will tackle insecurity in Ideato and by extension the South East if elected. " I want to thank you all for your support under my campaign support group GDF, I see all you do and I am very grateful.

I have always been on the opinion that the insecurity has many underlying issues yet to be solved and arresting Nnamdi Kanu will not solve it, so I will seek with other leaders that He should be released to reduce tension in the region and then the government focus on solving the underlying issues" Ikeng Ugochinyere said

"The President should treat us like he treats other people from other regions, we are business people, we are not beggars, Thank you"

In Iheme ward, where our correspondent monitored, it was nothing short of the total support for Barr. Ikenga Ugochinyere by members of his support group GDF and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Ikenga in his appreciation to his supporters gave out over two hundred bags of rice and Hundred thousand Naira each to the different wards that make up the Ideato federal constituency. He is hopeful to clinch the ticket of the Peoples Democratic Party to be their flag bearer in the 2023 election. He is expected to continue with his ward tour in the coming days.
