Nigeria federal Lawmaker representing Okigwe South in House of Representatives Hon. Chike Okafor has reiterated to his people the benefit of voting for candidates of All Progressives Congress,(APC) in the 2023 general elections. According to Okafor, the party have played developmental roles in the area,through strategic political appointments given to sons and daughters of Obowo LGA, to construction of school blocks,health centres, ongoing construction of Owerri-Umuahia road,among others.
He disclosed the above when he inaugurated his campaign Council selected from the 10 electoral wards of Obowo LGA ahead of the official INEC kickoff of campaigns in the country, stressing that all Obowo leaders will work for the party from top to bottom and that resources needed to win all electoral positions is intact.
Okafor,said that his reelection to the Green Chambers will enable him reposition Okigwe South as top ranking Lawmaker,why regretting how his chances of getting juicy principal position was delayed in 2019 outing, the Federal Lawmaker said in optimism that he has brighter chances in the 10th Assembly.
He used the occasion to pour encomiums on Governor Hope Uzodimma for the ongoing house renovation of first Imo State civilian Governor Chief Samuel Mbakwe, why reaffirming the desire of the 3R shared prosperity administration of Uzodimma in attracting dividends of democracy to the people following the construction of Owerri-Orlu, first phase of Owerri-Okigwe and ongoing Owerri-Umuahia road and facelift of council health centres in the State.
Highpoint of the inauguration was when Hon. Okafor doled out items worth N7.2 million and cash donation to ward executives in the 10 electoral wards of Obowo LGA for their support at the party primary poll.
