Uzodimma flags off Imo Entrepreneur's Products Exhibition

The Imo state Governor, Senator Hope Uzodimma on Tuesday, May 17th 2022 flagged off the much anticipated and talked about Imo Entrepreneur's Products Exhibition organized by the Imo State ministry of Labour, Productivity and Employment ably led by the indefatigable, dynamic, untiring and visionary Chief Ford Ozumba,the honourable Commissioner in charge of the ministry.

Represented by he Imo state Deputy Governor, Prof Placid Njoku, Senator Uzodimma commended the organizers of the exhibition for their forethought and vision to put up the exhibition especially in this period that the state government is looking inwards in order to promote locally manufactured products to boost the economy of the state.

He assured the artisans in the state that the 3R shared prosperity government under his watch in the state will continue to make policies and programs to enhance their welfare.

He praised the ingenuity of the artisans to think out of the box, and was elated with the quality of locally made products on display. He stressed on the need for the exhibitors to ensure that they get their products certified by NAFDAC and other relevant government agencies.

Speaking,the Commissioner of Labour, Productivity and Employment, Chief Ford Ozumba described the exhibition as one of the ways the ministry is showcasing Imo state to the world, he noted that if adequately supported, the artisans in Imo state can compete favourably with their counterparts all over the world.

He applauded the governor for providing enabling environment for businesses to thrive in the state, he pleaded for more support to artisans in the state.

Highpoint of the event was when the Deputy Governor in accompany of the Hon Commissioner of Labour Productivity and Employment rode on the newly invented electric car from an indigenous inventor from the Federal Polytechnic Nekede. The Deputy Governor and his entourage also toured the various stands at the exhibition
