In an exclusive interview with Imoflash, Ugonna Ogbu, the last daughter of the kidnaped King of Ihitte Ihube Autonomous Community in Okigwe Local Government Area of Imo State, narrated how her father, HRH Eze Paul I Ogbu, Latugo 1 of Ihitte Ihube Autonomous community was whisked away by men of the underworld.
She said that on Sunday, 12th of December, 2021, her parents were at home when between 11:30pm - 12am, they started hearing sporadic gunshots and heavy knocks on the gate with touch lights directed towards the building.
"My parents were at home that night around 11:30pm-12am, When they heard serious knock on the gate and touches flashing everywhere, So they tried to escape from the back door, not knowing they have surrounded the house, so, they were captured, they pushed my mum away saying she is not the one they want and made away with my Dad" Ugonna Said.
When asked if the abductors have made contact with the family,she said "No, they have not, But the case have been reported to the appropriate authority.
When asked how the atmosphere has been in the house, Ugonna said that "It have not been easy because my mum doesn’t even have any cloth to wear, Everything got burnt including our credentials and documents.
She said that her mom now stays in their relatives house and she has been very trumatized with the whole incident.
The Monarch's last Daughter said that the gunshots were much that immediately the armed men gained access to the monarch,they took his phone and that of his wife to avoid them making contacts with people outside.
"My mum said they were many oo, Up to 30 or more, People around said the gun shots was much that they were even scared and the first thing they did was take their phone from them".
Ugonna further said that her dad is a very peace loving man that does not like getting into trouble or quarrel with anyone. She said that the kidnaped monarch always minds his business.
She pleaded with the Imo State Government and other good spirited individuals to come to their aide right now by making sure her dad returns safely.
