The Deplorable State of Ilile -Umuapu Road: An Appeal for Urgent Intervention
THE DEPLORABLE STATE OF ILILE-UMUAPU ROAD: AN APPEAL FOR THE URGENT INTERVENTION OF GOV. UZONDIMMA, SEN. OKOROCHA, HON. UJU KINGSLEY AND OTHER CRITICAL STAKEHOLDERS.
The people of ilile-Umuapu cries over the dilapidated state of the road that leads through Obinze-Umuokanne-Ilile-Umuapu Community.
Fortunately Obinze-Umuokanne road has been paved, remaining Ilile-Umuapu axis which is now in a worst state.
It is worthy to note that, this road was constructed by the first democratic Governor Dee Sam Mbakwe's Administration after he became the Governor in 1979, the road was constructed 40+ years ago, and till this day it has never been reconstructed nor rehabilitated.
The deplorable state of the road has made motorist rarely or totally absconded from it's usage, the state of the road has made it impossible for women to go to market and also cause Damage of their agricultural produce leading to hunger in the community.
It has become a reoccurring sad event occasioned by the bad state of the infrastructure.
I and the entire people of Ilile Aut Community, Mgbuisii and Umuapu all in Ohaji Egbema LGA of Imo State wish to use this medium to call on the State Government ably led by the Governor His Excellency Sen, Hope Uzodimma to please come to our rescue, let the people of Ilile and environs feel the touch of your Reconstruction and Rehabilitation which is inclusive in vision of Shared Prosperity Administration.
We know you as a listening Governor and we believe that you will come to our rescue. The hazardous state of the road has turned the axis to a dungeon for Kidnappers, Armed robbers and rapists, so we plead with our performing Governor who has been working hard to change the faces of many roads in the state to remember ours too.
Recalling the purpose of Imo State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (ISOPADEC) as an intervention agency to the people of Ohaji/Egbema/Oguta/Oru East Lga, I also call on the attention of High Chief. Charles Orie (CEO/MD ISOPADEC) to the Ilile-Umuapu road, please Sir come to our aid. Early this year this road was listed as one of the lroads to be done by ISOPADEC but up till now no contractor has been mobilized to site, it seems all hope is lost.
Furthermore, I also call on Sen. Rochas Okorocha representing Imo West(Orlu Zone) in National Assembly, Hon. Uju Kingsley Chima member representing the good people of Ohaji/Egbema/Oguta/Oru West federal constituency at the Green Chamber not forgetting Hon. Heclus Okoro member representing Ohaji/Egbema constituency in the Imo State House of Assembly.
Our dear public Office Holders, we plead you to use your good offices and draw the attention of Federal/State Government, NDDC to the dilapidated Ilile-Umuapu road.
I asked again, why the so much neglect on the people of Ohaji/Egbema especially Ilile community even as we are the food basket of this state.
It is over 12 years we saw electricity . No electricity no good road, we are been denied social amenities, it is disheartening.
