Mr. Henry Osuigwe, the best graduating student in the forthcoming 33rd Convocation of the Federal University of Technology Owerri has continued to receive plethora of awards and recognition from within and outside the state.
The latest to recognize the Imo State born Electronics and Electrical Engineering student is the Imo state Government.
During the annual Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu lecture series which held at the Rockview hotels, Owerri, The Governor of the State, Senator Hope Uzodinma was ably represented by his Deputy, His Excellency, Prof Placid Njoku.
Prof. Njoku presented a cheque to Mr . Henry, in addition to an International scholarship. Automatic employment, Cash rewards and support from Chief Dr Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu.
Prof Njoku said that "Imo has been in the news for rewarding academic excellence, social commentators and well meaning Imo persons has commended the shared prosperity Government for the renewed Hope for academia in the state, this recognition and Empowerment can only motivate and inspire the coming generation".
He noted that the shared prosperity Government is building a reputation for excellence in the future of academic development.
Osuigwe Chisom Henry A.K.A Brainiac breaks FUTO's record by graduating with 4.96 CGPA, the first since the institution was founded in 1980. Chisom who had his secondary education at Dennis Memorial Grammar School Onitsha (DMGS).
He is graduating with First Class Honour in Power System Engineering and will be convocated on the 4th of December 2021 at the 33rd FUTO Convocation Ceremony.
