OCDA STOPS THE ONGOING ILLEGAL CONSTRUCTION OF BUILDINGS AT SHELL CAMP QUATERS
MAINTAINS THAT THE PROPERTY REMAINS SEALED
Irked by the flagrant disregard of Government directive on the sealing up of Shell Camp Quarters some months ago and the consequent illegal construction of building at the Sealed Property, the State Government through Owerri Capital Development Authority (OCDA) has stopped all ongoing buildings at Shell Camp Quarters in Owerri the State Capital.
Leading the Operational Team of the Agency to carryout the demolition, the Special Adviser and General Manager of Owerri Capital Development Authority Engr. Francis Chukwu expressed disbelief over the breaking of Government seal by the developers, emphasizing that the properties were part of the illegally acquired properties so far recovered by the State Government through the Agency.
The OCDA helmsman pointed out the Shared Prosperity Government of His Excellency Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodimma remains resolute, firm and determined to ensure that both recovered properties and yet to be recovered ones do not go into wrong hands again, revealing that Imo State Government will never be detered by any scheme or ploy to jettison the action plans that have yielded positive results in the recovery process.
The OCDA General Manager Engr. Chukwu who maintained that the Shell Camp Quarters remain sealed also warned developers whose building sites have been sealed for various reasons especially pertaining to illegal acquisition to desist from breaking Government seals, stressing that such action amounts to direct affront on the State Government which is capable of attracting more dire consequences.
