The Owerri Capital Development Authority (OCDA), has solicited the collaboration of Nigerian Police Force, Imo State command, towards ensuring the actualization of the objectives of the Authority in accordance with the provisions of the law.
The General Manager of Owerri Capital Development Authority, Engr. Francis Chukwu stated this yesterday when he paid a courtesy call on the Commissioner of Police, Imo State Police Command, C.P Rabiu Hussaini, at the command Headquarters Owerri.
Engr. Chukwu noted that the maiden visit was designed for the Nigerian Police Force, Imo State Command and Owerri Capital Development Authority OCDA to rub minds and chart a new course by consolidating on the existing success while identifying areas of improvement so that both OCDA and Imo Police Command will have much better working relationship to achieve greater success.
The OCDA helmsman disclosed that as an Authority established by law and saddled with the responsibility of enforcing Owerri Capital City Master Plan, OCDA cannot achieve optimal success without effective working synergy with the police adding that the effective collaboration of the two Agencies will go a long towards assisting the Governor Uzodimma led Shared Prosperity Administration in the actualization of her developmental agenda encapsulated in the 3R mantra of Reconstruction, Rehabilitation and Recovery.
According to Engr. Chukwu, "it is important for me to mention that my OCDA led Administration runs an open door policy." We are ready to work with the Nigerian Police Force, Imo State Command as we will always welcome and extensively consider ideas that are geared towards achieving our set objectives creditably well." He concluded.
Responding, the Commissioner of Police Imo State Police Command C.P Rabiu Hussaini expressed delight at the visit of the OCDA General Manager and assured him of the readiness and support of Police Command in the State towards the legitimate actualization of OCDA regulations.
